I've taken 20mg lisinopril and metoprolol for 3 yrs with good control. 2 wks ago at m,y checkup it was 165/90. dr doubled my dose to 40mg. My bp at 4am the next am was 220/104. Dr added clonidine .1 mg and norvasc 10mg, and furosimide. bp is 140/74 but I feel nauseous, and chest congested w/dry cough, flushed, and depressed. I've had this week, sonograms of kidneys, heart, carotids. renal flow dye test, and bloodwork, all normal. Couild the doubled lisinopril have had a reverse effect on my bp? I'm sure it's the cause of my nausea and cough.
