Okay....DO NOT KEEP TAKING this MEDICINE!!! I took the same medicine in Dec. of 06 and experienced all of these side effects too! I know how you feel! AND BELIEVE ME you are NOT CRAZY! I had the same " faster. faster " uncontroable thoughts too...i experieced everything you described. Needless to say, I ended up in the ER with a blood pressure of 162 over 104 and remained in the hospital for 2 weeks, and battled effects for 5 months. Praise God I am fully well, but please do not take the medicine! It is not worth what can happen....I am so sorry you are feeling bad, I know this " out of body " feeling is no fun. Please let someone know about your blood pressure, and talk to a doctor about your symtems. They do not need to be ignored.

i also was given steriod shots along with Biaxin Xl, but I have a friend who is 5'7/ 5'9 145 pounds of solid muscle and she experienced side effects from just the Biaxin after only about 2 days.

Biaxin will leave an awful metallic taste and cause the other side effects mentioned, but the hydrocodone cough syrup will do the same. The hydrocodone in the cough syrup is a narcotic(it is an opium derivative). Hydrocodone suppresses the cough reflex; however it can be highly addictive. To reduce the metallic taste you can take the medication with orange juice - that is the only way I found relief. Also, at night sleep with your head elevated. Good Luck!

it has been 3 days since oim on this med I cant think clearly and feel anxious, jittery and on top of it all I cant sleep. I know I need to take my med because it is clearing up my infection but I dont think I could handle the next 7 days like this I thought I was going crazy but glad to hear there are others having the same feelings I talked to the pharmacist about what was going on she said she never heard of anyone having these problems Do they really know what this med could do or are they just not saying
