OMG! You poor thing, this sound s like a typical reaction. Why do doctors insist its not the drug that caused this. Continue fighting and I pray you"ll heal. I would contact one of the Adverse Reaction sites. You can find them here if you look around. Good Luck and God Bless you, Marsh
Very common reaction to Levaquin, (quinolone) drugs. I'm so sorry. If you research websites you will find lots of information regarding side effects to these drugs. You will get better but it will take time. I had a horrible reaction to Cipro, of course, no one believed me then or now. I am better but it took lots of time. Please educate youself about this reaction. If it makes you feel any better, there are a lot of "us" out here who have suffered the same as you (and lots worse) because of this specific class of meds (called quinolones). You have my prayers for recovery.
I just want to say thank you for reaching out to me. I am tearing up as I type-I never understood just how much I was scared that my life would never go back to healthy even though I keep saying it will be ok. I thought I appreciated everything in my life before this challenge......now I truly have found another level of learning how to love and take care of self and be thankful for the beautiful people in this world. I guess going through the tests and feeling disjointed when going to one doctor then the next. They need a panel. Then I watched the movie by Michael Moore-Sicko. It's about our country's state in health care. Wow!
I am managing the pain still and limiting my food, eating light and taking enzymes. I try not to take any meds just OPC3 and enzymes. I will soon take a detox but not until I heal some more. Thank you again for your words of encouragement and prayer. It means alot.

Beautiful= of Spirit and Kindness
I actually had similar symptoms a bout a year ago, I was in so much pain. Couldnt go tot the bathroom only gas and I woke up one morning crouched over and I couldn't even sit up straight. It felt like I had been stabbed in the lower stomach and I couldnt bare to even wear my seat belt on the way to th edoctors office, I even had to sit kinda on my side to drive because it hurt so bad. I was told it was Diverticulitious.
Did they do a colonoscopy? I know the one I had they said no diverticulitis...........thank you though.
I had similar symptoms though not quite as severe...pain level probably 7 or 8. Debilitating, but tolerable. I went on a near complete sugar elimination diet for 3 months. Worked wonders! I do not have any problems unless I eat too much refined sugar, then it kicks in again. They told me I had IBS also, but I refused any medications. After 7 years of research, I learned that the yeast (candida) in my system was fed by the sugar I was eating. It's all about the levels of yeast and acid in your stomach/intestines. Can give you some websites to check out if you want on this. Hope it helps!
Any chance you've tried aloe juice, or any products by Isotonix including OPC3 or digestive enzymes. go to www.TheEdge.unfranchise.com
Each product has science to support it effects.
I was diagnosed with diviticulitis and possible colitis. The doc put me on levisin, the medicine that dissolves under the tongue. I ultimatley stopped taking it because (and the doctors refuse to admit) since then my muscles twitch, I have waves of confusion and numbness in my head. This continues a year after I stopped taking it. After an MRI and blood tests, I come up negative for anything resulting in neurological disorders and nervous system disorders.
While I was taking levisin, I had more stomach pain and constipation accompanied with diarreaha than (believe it or not) than I did before I was taking it. I changed my diet among other things and it proved to do alot better for my digestive system. Stick to organic yogurts and plenty of juice and fruit and you stomach will be just fine. Atleast thats my case.
