My 7 year old son was taking singulair for his allergies. We didn't know why he started breaking out in hives every where but his legs. His cheeks became cherry red. This went on every day for about ten days. Benedryl helped the hives and the doctor prescribed prednisone. After a week still no relief. When we went to count the number of singulair pills our son had left for rx refill purposes we noticed that he was 9 pills short. We questioned our son and found out that he really liked the taste of these pills. Little did we know he could navigate the child proof container. After hiding the pills and only giving him the prescribed amount his hives have disappeared and not returned.
