I started taking Symbicort 4 weeks ago. I'm an active person, eat well and I'm in good shape. I caught a cold a week after taking symibort. It seems that as my cold got better, I didn't feel like I could breathe any easier. Since I starte taking it, I've been real fatigued. I wake up very tired and I'm sleepy all day. I stopped taking it yesterday. I fell better today. I went back on Advair until I can see the Doctor to try another medicane.

I'm replying to my posting for Symbicort. I started taking Symbicort a second time and I'm feeling fine. I caught a cold the first time which caused fatigue. I've been back on it for 2 weeks now. I seem fine. I'm taking the low dossage. My breathing is good. I'm back to regular activities. I don't seem to be having side affects.

i started taking symbicort about a month ago and immediately started feeling depressed. I couldn't understand why, until I checked out the side effects on the internet. I also have been having more frequent migraines and feeling fatigued. i do not like the side effects and have decided to stop taking it.

I have been on Symbicort for a few weeks now. I have been having severe anxiety which I believe is a side effect. I have been experiencing shortness of breath and just an extreme feeling of panic for the last week or so. I thought I was either going crazy or had some undetected disease. I've been to the doctor and had xrays, blood tests, etc and everything came back okay. I was told that I had anxiety and was given a RX for Zanax, which I have not yet filled. On a hunch, I decided to take myself off the Symbicort. I have not had it since yesterday morning and so far I feel 100% better. I definately will not ever take this medication again. I'm going to look into a more natural way to ease my asthma symptoms.

Before you go back to Advair, I suggest you look up the side effects. Look for reviews from users.. the trouble breathing could be a side effect from the Advair. Withdrawl from the Advair is extensive.
My mother in law was on it for 6 months she had a laundry list of new ailments after taking this medicine. She was 46 when she passed.
Just a notice to the public that Advair is nothing but death in a disk.

I've been on symbicort during the winter months only as that was when my tight chest was evident. I'm trying to go off it now it's getting warmer, (like I did last year) and find my chest is still tight. I guess that means that I'd better keep taking it ( it's real effective, and no side effects for me), which also means maybe I'll be on it for the rest of my life.:( I'd be interested in any comments on this, and any info on the LONG TERM side effects, if any is available. Of course I'll see my doc about this, I'm just interested in anyone else's experience.

My doctor put me on Pulmicort one month ago, and maybe it's coincidental, but I got sick three days after starting new med. He switched me to Symbicort last Tuesday, and by Friday, I was sick again. Sore throat, but it feels like it's in my esophagus. I'm going to question it next visit. Also, I do feel fatigued but I'm trying not to blame it on meds, but I think I am if I don't feel better soon.

My daughter took Advair for 1month after she started having horrible side effects, headaches, dizziness, anxiety, stress the doctor switched her to Symbicort and now she feels like she is going crazy, the anxiety is severe with this medicine. Please don't give this to anyone much less a child. My daughter is 8 and was a very happy and secure child before all this medicine.
