These are side effects of Zoloft, they will be much more pronounced when you start taking the drug... and should numb down or entirely go away in a month. The sideeffects will numb down or maybe entirely go away within a week or two.
I remember when i started taking it first two days were HELL!
oh and what dose are yo taking? it is best to start with a low dose like 25mg... or "maybe" 50mg but not more than that.
I've been on zoloft for a few years now. I had very similar symptoms. I remember the diarrhea was terrible. I didn't have an appetite and i was very sleepy and had almost no emotion about anything. The initial side effects were a week or two before they started to subside. I've had no problems since and am a firm believer that zoloft has changed my life for the better. I'm not nearly as nervous, anxious, or depressed anymore.
I have been on the "Z" for approx 1year. I currently take 150mg per day. I take this med for severe depression and anxiety. I still have my teeth clenched 24/7 and have the weird unfeeling, uncaring feelings. I have not gained any weight and it keeps me at an even keel, but I still don't feel like I want to do anything. I do things that I have to do, but nothing I enjoy. I have run the gammut of meds from Celexa to Zoloft and just can't seem to find the "right" one. Another side effect that I am experiencing is absolutely no sex desire. Thank goodness my boyfriend is very patient and caring. He understands when I am having an "unsocial" day. Sorry I am being a little wordy. I guess this is the "right" med for a lot of people. This is the only med that has reduced my libido. Good luck to all. K
