I was prescribed Levaquin for Chronic Sinusitis and ended up with gout like symptoms in my left big toe. It has made it very difficult to walk and carry out everyday responsibilities.I am only 29 years old and have two young children to tend to and this has made it very difficult. It is very difficult to walk and stand and I am unable to wear shoes due to the inflammation and swelling. Does it get better?

SOMETIMES IT GETS BETTER AND SOMETIMES IT GETS WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER.
WOULD YOU PLEASE SEND IN OR CALL IN A MEDWATCH REPORT SO THAT THE FDA SEES HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE HAD ADVERSE REACTIONS TO THIS POISON. GOOD LUCK TO YOU

OMG - I was diagnosed with Gout a few weeks ago (flared up in my foot). I am only 27, yet both my grandmothers suffer from this and had it at a young age. Three days ago I was prescribed Leviquin for the same thing, sinusitis...and am now having a gout attack in my fingers...it's awful! Does anyone know of a better antibiotic (that has less purines)?
