I also was on Yasmin for 3 years. I also began having painful intercourse. Extra lubricant was the only thing that my GYN told me might help, which did. I just switched from Yasmin to Femcon FE and intercourse is no longer painful. I developed a UTI after I switched to Femcon which made my urine smell funny. You can ask for a urinalysis from your doctor and it would be able to tell exactly which type of bacteria you might have and which antibiotics would work best for it.

Hey. I am taking yasmin too. I think you feel thirsty all the time because yasmin contains a progestin that actually acts like a diuretic (makes you lose water), and that is meant for women who have bloating issues before their periods (like me). It sounds like you're getting a lot of dryness and maybe you should opt for a OCP that doesn't have dosproprione as a progestin.
