My son took doxy for 10 days at a very high dose (100mg three times daily for a week and then 100mg per day and 300 mg the last day). About the 7th day he started having severe chest pains. Nausea, fatigue, mental impairment, hallucinations and other side effecdts started almost immediately. He has been off of the medication for almost two weeks and there doesn't seem to be much improvement regarding the side effects, especially the chest pain and nausea. We, too, would like to know how long these side effects last. I notice one posting claiming that the side effects have last for a month and a half and are still going strong.

I to am having problems. Are things getting better and what did you do or take to get better?
