I started taking Yasmin 2 years ago, and after about the first 2-3 months of taking Yasmin, I started experiencing horrendous pains after sex. Once my doctor figured out what was going on, I was diagnosed with Endometriosis. Not long after that, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Now I am more than likely unable to have children, and am at risk for cervical cancer, cardiovascular disease, and Diabetes. If anyone else has recently been diagnosed with Endometriosis, or PCOS after taking Yasmin....PLEASE reply or contact me!!!!!!!!!!!

I was diagnosed with PCOS almost 4 years ago. Not because of Yasmin tho.but because of my obesity. The reason they put me on Yasmin was due to the PCOS it was to help regulate my periods etc. I wouldn't be to worried about not being able to have children due to PCOS i heard that is a myth. I don't know about the endometriosis tho! not to sound rude but are you obese?..this sounds like a very rare and scary case to me! Also wondering if the doctor related the diagnosis to the Yasmin or if you were thinking that?

hi please email me giovannacoraggio@yahoo.com I'm not a member here yet.. my doctor put me on yasmin.. FOR ovarian cysts that rupture.. she said it would make them go away, because sex is really painful...What will happen hen I want to stop taking them? Will I be unable to have children? It is weird that you had pains AFTER you started yasmin, I read that in other posts also.. so why am I on it to lose the pain?

you can't seriously think you got PCOS from taking Yasmin. PCOS is a syndrome, and taking the pill is used as one of the treatments for it.
One of the possibilities is the it is genetic, and it can be caused by insulin resistance or problems in your adrenal gland. You can't possibly get PCOS from taking yasmin. And PCOS does in fact increase the risk for cervical cancer, cardiovascular disease, and Diabetes, but has nothing to do with taking the pill or not.

Hello. I am 26 years old and I have been diagnosed with endiometrosis. Last year I tried to take Yasmin 2 times but both times I had to stop taking the pills because they caused me a lot of gastritis and depression. After those episodes I started to feel pain in the lower part of my abdomen, I went to see the doctor and after making an ecography they found two cysts, one on my left ovarium and one on the right. They told me to take the pill again in order to make the cysts dissapear, which I did for 2 months but the pain did not stop. After 4 months I made a new ecography and cysts haven't dissappeared but have grown instead. The cyst on my left ovarium seems to be endometriosis because it has an irregular shape and causes a lot of pain. I really think this was all due to Yasmin, in spite that everybody says that the pill has nothing to do with it.
