Been taking 20mg Omeprazole for 28 days now, (took last one this morning). 1 week into using this medicine I developed a very itchy skin. It started under breastbone then around to the middle of my back, I thought I had Shingles but it can't be as the ichyness is now all over my body with a nasty looking rash especially on my chest, back & legs. I do have a GP appointment soon, but I don't want to take this prescription anymore as the itching is driving me mad, keeping me awake at nights. I just hope the symptoms this was prescribed for don't come back, if they do I dread to think what they will prescribe next as the pain I was suffering was pretty awful as well. I found that bathing in Oilatum helped sooth the itch but not for long!
