Update for Danielle, it has been 32 days since removal, I am still nauseous, have some anxiety and depression, no more panic attacks thank God, I have been put on an anti-depressant for the next few months until my hormones balance out, I hope it is effective, I have always been a happy person, the Mirena has ruined the last month of my and my family's life, all I want to do is feel like me again, I hope one day I can look back on this time and be thankful I got through it, the one thing I will never take for granted is my health, laughter. I will keep you all posted on how I am feeling, good luck to those of you who are going through the same thing.

These anti-depressants sound like the best option for you now. Remember that it will take some time before they start working, this can take up to four to eight weeks. It's horrible how this IUD totally messed up your hormones. I also have the nausea every now and then, and some heartburn as well as pain in my left side, front and back. The GP said it's probably IBS. After my son's first birthday next week, I will be going on a sugar and fat free diet to try if this works. It'll get me to lose some weight too I hope, lol.
Take care Danielle, and I'm glad things are starting to get better now. You really suffered a great deal from this thing, like many of us. They really should get it off the market. Some women have even become suïcidal from these messed up hormones. I wonder how many lives have already been ruïned without people knowing it was the mirena. That's not a happy thought. I wish you all the best on your path to recovery. I'm sure you'll get there eventually. Hugs.

Claudia
