It has been 9 years since I have been on the pill - I was prescribed Loestrin by my OBGYN but got the generic form, Junel. I did the normal thing you should not do before taking a new drug - I got on the internet and read all of the horror stories about side effects. Despite what I read I went back on it anyway. I have to say that I have been pleased - the only side effect I have experienced is vaginal tenderness and irritation.

I was just perscribed Loestrin by MY OBGYN, and I appreciate your posting..I'm afraid that sometimes people only rate things if they had a bad experience, and so its nice to read an honest response from someone who's honestly given it a chance, I'm feeling a little nervous about the side affects and what you wrote has made me feel better about giving it a good chance
