Just a follow-up:
Did not take the med today and already I am feeling better. (Actually my sinuses are clear now too). I still have weakness in my legs and have some joint pain. My vision is a little better, but most of all, I feel like I can THINK again.
Went to the doc (different from the prescribing doc) this morning as well and he said I had an allergic reaction. He seemed surprised that I was given this for so long (He said "WHOA" when I showed him the directions on the container).
He prescribed MethylPrednisolone tablets, USB 4mg to help clear the rest of my sinuses. I did not want to take another antibiotic for a while. I am alsonot to keen on taking anything else for a while until this stuff clears out....maybe a bit over-reactionary, but if you went through what I went through on this stuff (or worse if you read some of the other folks), you would be a bit jittery about taking ANYTHING ever again. I cannot believe this stuff is legal outside of a hospital setting. If it is a last resort..then by all means...use it.....IN THE HOSPITAL. Most of us end up taking this stuff at home and write off the symptoms as "part of the normal course". By the time we are in really bad shape...it's either the weekend and no Dr. is available....or you just don't think it serious enough for the ER. By then, your next decision could change your life.
I'm starting to sound alarmist, I know, but there is No way I would take this again. I will tell everyone I know about this. It really is that serious and YES it CAN happen to you!
