I have had an infection in my lungs for about a week and finally went to the doctor. I was prescribed Levaquin 750mg. It has worked better than anything I have ever been given. Each year I end up in the hospital with pneumonia where I am kept for at least a week each time. For the first time in 10 yrs. I didn't have to go in to the hospital for a stay. I don't care what anyone says about this medicine it worked for me and I plan to request it any time I get sick. 5 pills later and I am well. No more pain from coughing, no more feeling as if, I can't get enough air to breathe, I say that's a good reason to stay with this medicine.

I am glad it helped you. I am angry because my doctor gave it to me without any of the standard black box warnings and with two steriods, knowing I have a pre-exsisting condition affecting my connective tissues. I posted hoping that someone on this website would say try xyz vitamin or something else that might help me.

check out the lawsuit pending against the FDA. This medicine can cause horrible problems long after taking it.
