Remicade did wonders for me, my Crohns went into remission. Still have muscle pain over a year after not taking it. Maybe that is from the Imuran. When I had my infusions I had to have Prednisone before & during because of an allergic reaction.

My doctor prescribed Avelox after Zithromax failed to cure my sinus infection. I took the first and only dose before I went to bed. Around 4:00 a.m. I woke up shaking all over, with difficulty breathing. My chest and stomach were bright red in patches. My heart was beating out of my chest. I thought I was dying. I called the hospital and they advised taking a Benedryl and heading in immediately. When I got there they gave me an IV of steroids, and Benedryl. Several hours later, they conducted 2 EKG tests, a chest X-Ray and a battery of blood work, they had never seen a reaction so bad as mine. I couldn't even hold a water bottle because my shaking was off the chart. They finally gave me 2 baby aspirin (probably in case I had a heart attack) and administered heart medication to slow down my heart. Now several weeks later, I have developed aching pains down my left leg, and mysterious deep muscle aches that flair up without warning. Also, since taking the Avelox I had awoken every night, flying out of bed in sheer panic and fear, heart racing, face hot and flushed, and shaking all over. The rash continued to come out for at least two weeks. I had to start taking Ativan every night before I go to bed now so I don't wake up feeling like I'm going to die...Why in God's name is this horrible horrible drug still on the market?
