Sorry to hear about your pulmonary embolism. Know the feeling and the experience as well. I just had my bilateral PE in November. Not sure how long I'll be on blood thinners. I have no other factors (besides the Yaz) that predispose me to blood clots. I wonder if Yaz is going to end up being really bad news for a lot of people.

I wonder why the health "PROFESSIONALS" are still prescribing this drug to us. I understand having one maybe two side effects, but we have experienced a laundry list full of them. I agree that there needs to be some compensation for this.Or doctors need to let you know ahead of time what to expect.

I was not on any other medication but yasmin and I experienced a Pulmonary Embolism after two months of Yasmin birth control.

Hello, I had a stroke in december 10th 2007 from taking yazmin birth control pills... The only thing the doctors could find was that I was taking these pills.. I had a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in my lung) as a result of taking Yaz. I was hospitalized and in ICU for a week, I can no longer take any birth control or have any more children. I will be on blood thinners for the rest of my life. I have also wondered about a class action lawsuit against the drug manufacturer.
