I too am having mine removed this week. I've had it in 2.5 years. At first it was wonderful - well, the insertion was a nightmare, but after getting through that hell I was able to be happy about the fact that I only had one more period and haven't had one since. No spotting or problems to speak of for the first year or year and a half. Then it hit. Zits on my chin (I'm 33!!) constantly, bitchiness 2 out of the 4 weeks of the month, bloating so bad that I have two separate wardrobes - one for bloating, one for not, and then the sore boobs. I have to wear a bra 24/7 for 2 weeks out of each month. To take it off and even shower is excruciating. BYE BYE MIRENA. Hello Pill.
