The Cough is so severe with the drainage until I have to sleep sitting up. I notice I have stomach problem nausea a lot and it is hard to get to sleep insomnia. When I finally sleep it is interrupt from the cough and the drainage. I have so much drainage from my sinus. It is a lot. I have a lot of red mark over my body; I also had a red rash. I have pain in my joint often. Since I finally found out the source of the problem, what can I do to get this medication out of my system fast? I am a 52 years old male, started taking this medication about a year ago. I have had throat issues ever since. I went to an ENT and he scoped me. No issues but sinus irritation. I never connected this drug with my problem. I never suffered from a sinus condition before, but this last year I have had the tickle in my throat with affects my ability to speak for a minute or two, have to cough the tickle out several times a day, and live on cough drops. Tried all the medications to treat this "sinus" condition both over the counter and prescribed, no relief. As of today, and after reading the many posts here, I am stopping this medication. I will report back in a month or so with my result. They tell me it takes about a month to get the drug out of your system and your throat returns to normal...hope so!!!

My ENT doctor prescribed spraying Nasacort into my nostrils once a day. I am finding some relief from the cough and nasal drip after a week. i was coughing all day with a dry hacking cough, but mornings with a wet cough. I am on it for another week.

I started taking Lisinopril 2 and 1/2 months ago. The day I started taking it I began having A LOT of sinus drainage - nonstop. I contacted my doctor a couple weeks ago, and she said she doesn't think it had anything to do with the medication. After reading these replies - I think she is wrong. I'll definitely insist - now - that my doctor switch me to another med. Thanks!
