I am 37yrs old and have been on Advair for years, I use to weigh 110pds. now I weigh around 165, I have chest pains all the time, pains in my legs and chronic back pain, also pain in my leg's. I have mood swings and feel sluggish all the time. I have headaches a lot as well. I am still on the Advair, never realizing that the Advair was the cause.

Hi, I have been on Advair since 1999 - in about the first year or so I too gained 48 pounds after being basically a thin build all my life. A lot of the weight is in my mid-section and bloating in my legs. I work out, try to eat right and my weight won't budge. In addition to the weight gain I have throat horseness and swollen tonsils. I went to an ENT and after 2 years of throat issues he finally agreed to remove my tonsils. I can't help but believe that these are all side-effects of Advair! I'm torn because my asthma has been under control as long as I've been on Avair. I will address this with my Doctor and pray that there is a viable substitute.Just glad to have finally figured out what's going on with my body!

Great Post, I am havin exactly the same probs due to advair, High Bp,Severe weight gain(60 pounds) constant chest tightness. I told my doctor that and he more or less blew me off. Needless to say i fired him because he never took blood pressure, blood work or chest xrays to see what the prob was
