If you are PCOS, you should not be on birth control hormones.
BCH's increase your risks for:
1) Cysts - which in turn increase issues with androgens
2) Insulin related issues - which in turn increases issues with all hormones
3) Increases already existing risk factors associated with all BCH's because your risk is already present because of the PCOS
4) Missed increasing issues of the disease because the BCH's are masking the symptoms
There are alternatives to trigger a menstrual.
Treating the PCOS - possibly medications like metformin, naturals, exericse and a diabetic type 2 lifestyle
Provera - which is a temporary medication to trigger a cycle; benefits can last several months
I think you need a new doctor or get your current one more educated. If you need further help, just let me know.
