I started taking Lotrel 5/20 about 7 days ago. The dry cough is out of control. I have it all day long and it's worse at night. It even wakes me up. The worse thing its hat it doesn't seem to be doing that good a job for me as far as lowering my bp. I'm not taking that on it's own either. My doctor has me taking Hydrochlorothiazide with it. But all that aside.... If you can't get rid of the dry cough that some along with the Lotrel..you have to try Buckley's Mixture cough suppressant. The Pharmacist suggested it. OMG i's the nastiest stuff I've ever tasted but......I swear it works. The dry cough was really bothering me and my chest was starting to really hurt from it. This took the edge off really well. I'm just suggesting this for people who find that the Lotrel works for them but the cough is just too much to handle. Buckley's works. I on the other hand probably have to try another bp med because Lotrel isn't working for me.
