Hey, I just wanted to ask you how much water you are drinking every day? When I first started taking Topamax I was a soda drinker. I continued drinking soda when I first started taking topamax and didn't really notice a difference in the taste until the second week. My doctor told me that I really needed to be sure and drink plenty of water with this medication. Now I've completely given up soda b/c it started tasting very nasty. That is saying a lot b/c I LOVED Mt. Dew. Anyway, I drink a TON of water now. I don't have very severe side effects (in my opinion) from the medication, though I do have some I think they are tolerable. However, I do think it has something to do with the amount of water I consume. I drink about 10 glasses of water per day. I am sure to keep myself hydrated. The funny thing is that if my feet started to feel tingly or numb and I drink some water it goes away in a few minutes. Keep that in mind. Maybe it will help. I know we are all different, but I just wanted to share something that seems to work for me so maybe it would help you as well. Plus, you will probably have more energy if you drink more water too. Not initially maybe, but in the long run you will.
