I started taking Yasmin august 07-took it for 3 weeks, 2nd week I felt pressure on my chest, 3rd week there was this day I started feeling pressure on my chest and bad palpitations, I got a little worried and they told me I was having a panic attack, it took 20 minutes for me to calm down. I stopped taking Yasmin that day and have continued to feel sick since. Symptoms since Yasmin have been:severe nervousness, shivering, racing heart especially with activity, chest pressure, pain by me heart, huge decrease in appetite, panic, thoughts I will die, body aches, headaches, slight dizziness sometimes. I've been to ER twice I've also had 2 d-dimer tests positive but no blood clot in my chest or legs and been to doctor about 7 times-she just sent me to psychiatry even though she knows I say the pill caused it. I also have an appt with cardiology tomorrow- and I'm sure they will tell me its in my head as well-its been 5 months I wonder how long my sickness will last.

Hey Valnina,
You never know, maybe therapy will help for you. I think I get paranoid, now that I'm off the pill, every time I start to feel the slightest bit nervous or anxious, thinking it's all coming back-and I make myself worse. I do know it's still in my system and I can't wait for it to get out, but, maybe you got used to those feelings and a psychiatrist can give you some techniques on controlling the anxiety. I'm so sorry - those attacks are the WORST things to go through - mentally and physically. Good luck to you.

I have been off Yasmin for a year now. Trust me the side effects you have are not all in your head. They are very real, and really should not be referred to as panick attacks. I have been experiencing the same side effects as you. Since getting off the pill I have tried daily to be a healthier person to combat the damage done by the pill. It is a daily battle, and tomorrow I have yet another doctors appt to try and figure out what is exactly wrong with me and how to fix it. Like you I have had D dimer tests, oxygen tests, EKG s, blood tests and a CAT scan done. All tests came up showing something; but yet nothing could be done....

Hey there,
It's been a while since you posted I see. I too got severe anxiety and panice attacks after starting the pill. I stopped taking in Late January, and though I've gotten so much better, I still have anxious moments. I was never like this before. How are you doing? Are you still having anxiey? Did you take any meds. JUst want to be the normal me I was before this pill. I'm sick and tired of these weird irrrational fears brought on by the anxiety.
Thanks so much for posting!
Crystal
