I found OsmoPrep easy to take and tolerate. Until I finished the second round. I just had two hours left to Drink.....I was to be NPO from midnight until test time the next day. Luckily I realized that what I needed to do was add even more liquid to my sy stem. (I tend toward loose bowels anyway). I managed to get another 24 oz. in before midnight. Yes I drank 8 ounces with each dose of 4 tablets, but I needed MORE. The next day my hands were a bit numb, but it was a cold day. However, after I checked into the hospital, my hands went completely numb. The nurse said that she'd never heard of that side effect. However, the doctor was late (aren't they always) and I lay there reading a book for almost three hours. Yes, the hands held the book; they weren't 'dead' but I could not feel myself touching the hand nor could the hand sense hot/cold or rough smooth very well at all. Test went fine. Recovery was quick. No more numbness as soon as I got liquid back in my system.
