Well said!
Get better.

Thanks anon. Update: now experiencing pain in right knee/right shoulder, and noticing more "pops" from various joints in general. I should also note that the doctor who put me on Levaquin disagrees that my symptoms stem from it. This was at a walk in medical center, and they are now passing the buck, suggesting I seek a "family/primary doctor," which may be a good idea. However....very frustrating. I'm 38 and have played the drums most of my life, and am now facing major setbacks.

Would you please send in a MedWatch report to www.fda.gov? It may be the only way to get this poison off the market..
There are several groups of people poisoned by this and it's sometimes very helpful to discuss this with people that have found a way to feel better. Go to www.fqvictims.org
I was re-checked today and told that, yes, there is a chance of these side effects from these antibiotics, and that if my symptoms continue, they probably DIDN'T stem from these antibiotics that I've had two prescriptions for in the last two weeks ...huh?! How's that for talking out of both sides of one's mouth simultaneously? Can you say "damage control?" The mind boggles.
How is it that one can find scores of people posting their situation online regarding adverse side effects of these antibiotics, yet out of the two doctors, a handful of nurses, and a few pharmacists I've spoken with, none are even remotely aware that such a dilemma exists? Some are outright dismissive of concerns and look at you as though you may as well live on Neptune for even suggesting that the sudden onset of symptoms coincided with drugs that actually list said symptoms on their product page that the pharmacy issues with every prescription! I'm sure there are simply those who unaware of it, yet, to reiterate, I'm beginning to suspect some institutional "damage control" a la conspiracy of silence involved here. I attempted to pose a question re: approximation of how the medical community is responding to patients side effects in the "Ask a Question about Levaquin" section, but was repeatedly denied with a "warning" about "spam" in my entry. {?} Best of luck everyone.
Update: ruptured something in a finger on my right hand/light bruising underneath, painful to the touch but can move it freely without intense pain. A lot of the pain has spread to arms/hands/fingers. Having a lot of pain in left hip. Also spoke with a different pharmacist whose face went spooky upon hearing me talk about Levaquin. She says she's def heard about this problem, but can't address it specifically in terms of treating the side effects.
