For anyone having digestion problems while taking lisinopril....please read this! http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/446546_3 I am hoping this is what my problem is, as I'm to the point of not being able to eat anything, even bland food, without being in horrible pain. Cat scans and upper scope ran and all came back normal, regular blood tests are normal...but the pain I have after eating is not NORMAL! I go back to my regular dr. tomorrow and will let you know if he takes me off the lisinopril. My stomach problems started after starting 40 mg of lisinopril in June of 06. I will try to keep you posted on if it is the medication causing my problems. I also have the anxiety, red rash on my neck, shortness of breath, lethargy, lack of concentration, etc. etc. It's scary to think medications can cause more problems than the actual health problem they are treating you for!

Stopped taking Lisinopril Jan 31st and within 24 hrs. I was back to eating almost normal food and felt like a horrible fog had been lifted from me! WHAT A RELIEF!!! The hubbs said I was a changed person within 24 hours and I was not in horrible pain with my stomach. I am now on Caridezem SR and so far so good! It's been almost 2 weeks without Lisinopril and I feel HUMAN again and not in pain. I improve more every single day. My dr. was truly amazed! I knew something was terribly wrong when all my tests were coming back "NORMAL" and my stomach was still hurting. Thank goodness I realized it must be the medication! I'll keep you posted on my progress! I will NEVER EVER EVER take Lisinopril again! POISON!!!! (I read on the internet that it is made from the venom of a poisonious Brazilian snake! HOW healthy can that be???)

Have same problem for last 3 months, had 2500 buck mir, colon tests and even a laposcope to look at small instetine, all normal, no med 118/78/72,
with 1.25 mg 98/58/52, cut pill in two 105/66/70. Much less tummy problems. My case was not for blood pressure, but to prevent possibe artery inflamation. Is it worth it? Jack m
