It is funny to see so many side effects to Biaxin. I am normally very lightweight on any drug, but Biaxin has been awesome. I have been on it one year or Lyme Disease and co-infection treatment and I love this drug, I sleep like a baby, never had bad aftertaste, ever. Chew gum the say if "metal" taste happens. I would recommend this drug in a second. Just wanted to post something positive, because we are all so different.

I'm currently taking PREVPAC which includes 2 servings of Biaxin Filmtab 500mg a day for 14 days to treat my H Pylori.
I agree with you about this med. After reading a lot of bashing emails and blogs about it seems that most of the people were taking such high mgs and that very well could have contributed to so many problems people are having. I also would like to add that I'm gratefule to have good docs and Pharmacy Tech's that were able to answer all my concerns regarding the side effects and they all said what I was experiencing is normal and a lot of people have problems taking Biaxin because of how it makes you feel and the nasty taste in your mouth. I'm just glad there's something out there that can clear up my bact. infection so that I can get on with my gaulbladder surgery.
