My husband has developed symtoms similar to yours. Except his started in his chest, radiating down his left shoulder, left arm down to his fingers suddenly in the middle of night. We went to the emergency room. All tests and x-rays and mri's of his chest area are normal. He still has plenty pain, tingling, numbness, etc. He has gotten by with a few doses of Tramadol. But we are seeing an acupuncturist now and are quite pleased with those results (never was a believer, but we are both converts). To get back to the doctors, he was sent to a neuroligist who sent him for two mri's (separate visits). Neurologist cannot tell us what is wrong. So Dr. Neuro. has tried sending us to a 'special' neuroligist many miles away. We will not go. We are fed up with doctors who don't know the answer. I started searching for these symtoms thru google. I am surprised at what came up. Never once have the doctors questioned or even thought it might be Lipitor. He has been on that drug (10 mg.) for many years. He has stopped taking it now for two days (without the doctor's o.k.) I don't know how long it is going to take for him to get better, or if he can get better. He says he is feeling a little better today. There is much more to tell, but little space. I think the drug, insurance companies, and anyone associated with them are part of a great scandal that hits us all very hard.
This registry is a place to share positive or negative side effects of using Lipitor. If you directly experienced a side effect while using Lipitor, then we encourage you to enter it here. Please note that entries here are the experiences of individual users, and in no way means that you or anyone else will experience the same side effect, since the same medication affects people in different ways. Please always contact your physician.
