hi penny yes it is the mirena take it out it is poison i had a lot of hair loss wirth it and after taking it out i still have hair loss it takes a while for it to get out of lyour system take care good luck xoxoxo

I had the Mirena for 9 months and lost probably 1/3 of my hair along with many other symptoms. Memory loss was significant, extreme fatigue, depression, anxiety, I felt I was a 70 years old sick person. It's been out for 1 year and I feel wonderful. It took time but my hair is finially growing back and the anxiety is almost nonexistent. All other symptoms are gone. (Still working on losing the 25 lbs. gained in first 6 months) My advise is if you don't feel like yourself - have it removed immediately.

I have just had mine removed because of hair loss, I am on my way to bald at the crown. I am going to a skin specialist next week to see what can be done to rectify this but hopefuly after having merina removed my hair may return to normal (I sure hope it will). Anyway my advice to you is to have it removed asap
