my symptoms were with Prevacid, I believe that these drugs all have the same dangerous side effect. It started with extreme weakness, numbness and pins and needles in my legs and arm. Now after 9 weeks of stopping the Prevacid I feel shaky and tremors. I take b-12 injections because it seemed to have depleted me of my normal b-12 levels. I am hoping this is the problem and will improve . until than my doctor has me going to a neurologist to assure it is nothing else . mri of brain is normal and thyroid is normal. HOW LONG UNTIL THESE SYMPTOMS SUBSIDE , PLEASE TELL ME THEY WILL GO AWAY.

Hi, I could not be more sympathetic. I wish I could tell you just when your symptoms will abate, as I am going through a similar nightmare after taking prilosec for 3 days, and aciphex for 1. I'm off the meds for 9 days now, and still have facial numbness, dry mouth and a dizzy, sedated feeling. How long did you take the medication? . Know that you are not alone in suffering side effects from these awful medications. I hope you feel much better soon.

Hello there - Have you asked your Dr to check your potassium levels? The P.P.I class of drugs can SEVERELY affect your potassium levels, making them very low. This can lead to a heavy, leaden feeling in your legs, extreme tiredness and numbness and other symptoms as well. You can already try a home remedy by taking OTC potassium tablets (ask how much you need so that you don't over do it) and eat banana's on a regular, daily basis..good luck...
