Funny how I got the Mirena and then 1 year later found myself in the Dr office for symptoms similar to depression, no libido etc. Never been depressed in my life, happy marriage with a 6 and 8 year old. Everything I ever wanted! BUT no antidepressants worked, they made me like a zombie somewhat masking the symptoms. Who knew it was the Mirena????? I didn't connect the two and the Doctors that I was seeing didn't either. I had it removed after 4 years and I feel like a new woman. I don't think it effects everyone the same, but the progestin in the Mirena was not for me.

I too have had the anxiety, depression, and lots of physical side effects. Mine was taken out 2,5 months ago. Two weeks before the gp took it out, he prescribed antidepressants... unfortunately I started with them, but now I'm weaning off and feeling fabulous!
