Swim On, keat-chronic!
I didn't have the same symptoms as you did and I'm quite a bit older but can relate to the swimming/athlete part. I was an Olympic Trials qualifier/NCAA All-American at Cal 20 years ago. I've been very athletic ever since and, though I'm over 40 now, I thought I'd be the perfect candidate for Yaz. Bad news for me as it caused me to have pulmonary emboli after 6 months of use. I was hospitalized for 5 days and I'm still on blood thinners. Thankfully, I'm working out again and feel like I've caught up to close to where I was before my hospitalization and month of recovery. I don't smoke or drink and I'm anything but sedentary or overweight. I don't even have a known predisposition for blood clots.
I'm not a fan of Yaz. It's opened my eyes to the dangers of medicine and trying to do my best to be well informed. Cheers to you and your recovery. Keep swimming and have lots of fun with it. You sure live in the right country as far as swimming popularity! Go Aussies!
