My 3 year old son has taken Zyrtec as needed for seasonal allegies. This summer his allegies seemed to be pretty bad so he was taking it for about 2 months straight. One day i noticed that he stuttered and then it kept getting worse and worse. He had never done it before. I am a teacher so I sought out any help my district would offer. I took him to a speech pathologist and she recommend therpy right away. As his allegies got better I did not give it to him every day. I noticed that on the days that I did give it to him he could not get a sentence out. Other days he was fine. I stopped giving it to him a week ago and his speech is almost regular. Our therpist is shocked and amazed. Aparently no one really knows the side effects/ or parents are not being informed.
