My mother has also been taking lisinopril and I have noticed some memory loss. Could this be a side effect?

Hi... I'm wondering the same thing: I wrote a note about my experiences with Lisinopril on Feb.14th but "forgot" to mention that I have been experiencing memory loss also over the past 2 years; since I've been on the med. I'm only 54 and there are times... like when I "Fast" that it is like it's back to normal. I never equated the ST memory loss with Lisinopril... I wonder if anyone else having the same problem? I'll read on...

I have heard it causes memory loss but not from a doctor. I did not want to take it for this reason. I was told to have the doctor prescribe something else instead of the Lisinopril. For some reason, my doctors do not seem to think it causes memory loss but then again, they never told me it has other side effects that I am experiencing such as leg aches/cramps that wake me up all night, weight gain, irritability, and hot flashes.

I have decided to stop the drug since I am my blood pressure is only borderline and with proper diet and exercise, I think I can improve it.

Well, hope this helps!
