I'm really scared now!!! I've been on BC for about five months now but I've been incredibly "hormonal" as you girls can relate...except an extreme. So crazy. crying, no reason. so i said...maybe the NuvaRing. my friends on it...I'll try it. i put it in and immediately inside my vagina started to feel irritated. I don't want anything related to depression/weight gain/etc because i already have that shit going on. I'm also worried to completely change personalities. Witch could be a good thing. DOES ANYONE! have anything good to say about this thing?

It made me more depressed and anxious on it. It doesn't work the same for everyone and it sounds like you need to find a different bc. You can't go on like this. Good luck.

I've been on Nuvaring for over one year. I have always suffered from severe Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, and the ring definitely exacerbated that problem for maybe the first 4 or 5 months. For me, I just sort of had to ride it out, and it has gotten better, where it depends heavily on what's going on in my life during that week before removal whether or not I get crazy. From what I gather, all birth control does that in some way or another, but honestly this is the only birth control I've ever been on. In the past year I also managed to lose about 35 pounds, so definitely no weight gain here. On the downside, I miss ovulating since I don't have too much of a sex drive sometimes, but it's not that bad (hasn't gone away completely by any means). I also randomly vomit about twice or three times during the week after reinsertion. It doesn't ruin my day, in fact after it comes up I feel totally fine and can move on quickly. The fact is, if you don't want to worry about taking a pill at the same time every day, then suck it up for a few months and it'll probably get better (that's my experience). For me, the convenience is worth hassles. If you don't mind remembering the pill thing, then by all means check out other options of birth control. But there isn't going to be one that doesn't have any side effects at all. Hope this helps.
