Ive been taking adderall.Im 28 and the medicine seems to wear off before im done what im doing so i take another.I had the same problem and there are side effects hallucinating and i think its when you take more than your supose to.Ive been reading what everyone is saying and some effects i have and some i havent it effects people different. But yes i know exactly what youre talking about search the drug and it will show you all the side effects.
Im 31 now, but as a child (and during high school) I saw, um, let's say.. spirits. It was always an unpleasant experience, but I think *my* situation didnt have to do with me being on Ritalin. Kids are more spiritually sensitive than adults already, but I think kids with ADD/ADHD are even more sensitive- on EVERY level! That said, I do not want you to think I am saying she is really hearing voices. My immediate response when I read your post was, "OMG, get her off Adderall NOW!" I say that because it is a "head" drug and ANY time you start a medication and you start to notice a change in mood, tell your doctor RIGHT AWAY. It is SO important! You may want to try giving her Dexadrine. That worked best for me. But before all that, I would encourage you to look into a special school for kids with ADD/ADHD. I wish that had been avaialble to me when I was young. :{ Unfortunately I am now 31 years old and can tell these drugs have taken their toll on my body and my mind. Hang in there, Mom! It's HARD to have a kid with ADD but I would guess even harder to have it. P.S. I almost forgot- Again, I dont know whether or not your daughter is hearing voices because she started taking Adderall (tho I do think it's pretty suspicious!), but regardless of the reason,
I would tell your daughter to pray when she hears these voices. Every time I did (and I saw them often), they would leave. She does not need to be afraid, and she should NOT listen to what they say! You shouldnt be afraid, either, Mom :)
