You are not suppose to be on Lupron for no longer than 6 months. And let me tell you I know why I have been on Lupron for almost 11 months lets say I am a month away from a year I am next month taking my last series of Lupron to finish out my year which the shot lasts three months so it wont be till June that I will be off of it. This stuff is not meant to be on long term I have during this time met someone and they stuck with me thru all my surgeries and now the Lupron but let me tell you if he could be with a less hormonal me he would be delighted I am sure. I dont know where I went meaning I am lost thru the meds the mood swings are ugly like tantrums screaming! I feel like being on this medicine for a year has done some permanent damage. My bones hurt although the density scan says Im fine. My teeth I have shared I feel like they are shifting I have been told "weird" no not weird bad for me. My bones pop,snap. And now I am pregnant on this stuff not good as I have been told. I had a lapse in my med shots and oops Im pg. I have been told I will miscarry well that is to be seen. It has been great no period for a year and the sex is fantastic no pain! But long term LUPRON all around is a bad deal I could go on and on with all that has occurred during my consecutive time of 1 year on lupron. Good luck on what you decide but a year on it is not worth it....
