Hi! No need to worry. I went through the same thing. I was on Predinisone for 2 wks--thats it-- 2 yrs ago. I had a propensity toward anxiety, but didnt tell the dr. -- Didnt think it would matter. Wound up having such a bad anxiety attack that I thought I was having nervous breakdown. (was going thru divorce--thought it was due to that.) The fact that you were worried about your health to begin with probably didnt help. Good news--my dr. put me on anti-anxiety, and finally after about 2 months (youre almost there!) I could tell a difference. The anti-anxiety drugs DO work, believe me!, but it does take time to get those dopamines balanced. Don't expect it overnight. Everyone's different. Remember, it was probably worrying about your health that was the underlying reason for anxiety, and the prednisone withdrawal just exasserbated it. I know its easier said than done, but give it a little more time, and things will go back to 'normal' for you. Be patient. Keep in mind--it's the prednisone, which you're no longer on, which made the anxiety symptoms worsen. It's all a cakewalk from here! :) Good luck!
