I am also new to BC, and I am also on my second ring. I wake up with hot flashes and sweaty every morning. Also irritable due to cramping and spotting straight for the past 3 weeks! I'm 29, so no chance of menopause either. Plan to go see my OBGYN soon about these symptoms. You are not alone! E

YES! This is definitely a side effect from hormonal BC & especially the NuvaRing. I have been off the ring for a month & a week almost now & haven't had this problem ONCE since then. But I used to sweat through clothes MENOPAUSE HOT FLASH STYLE on a daily basis! The hair at the nape of my neck was always SOAKING wet, even if it was 20 degrees outside!

I did not mention sweating in my post the first time, but yes I had night sweats with Nuvaring. I would be covered in sweat and I am one that loves to heap on the blankets at night. Could not do it while using Nuvaring.
