Hi all, I was on Yasmin for close to two years until I had heart palpitations that prompted me to get off of it immediately. I also dealt with many side effects mentioned in other posts, but my heart condition was a scary wake-up call. I am still dealing with the heart palps after being off of it for over a month.

I just experienced the same thing while I was had my Mirena IUD in. Thank goodness I trusted my instincts and had it removed! There is nothing scarier than knowing there is something going on with your heart. I really think that artificial hormones are a bad choice for birth control. I've never done well with them ever since I started using them almost 20 years ago!
