I am 19 years old and I have been on Loestrin 24 Fe for almost a year now. Like some of the other posts said, i did get the brown discharge, but for me it wasn't in the first three months, it was about the fourth month. It also happened on the fifth month. But I realized that the reason why I was getting the discharge was because I wasn't taking my pill at the same time every day. Sometimes I would be off by about two hours, which I know isn't a lot, but I think it really makes a difference. Since then, I have taken the pill at the exact same time every day (maybe half hour off now and then) and I've had no problems whatsoever. I have had no weight gain, no headaches or nausea, no other side effects. So ladies, stick with it!! Its not THAT bad..
