You probably don't want to do the Mirena. Read up on it on this site and see! I just recently got off of it. The acne scarring is the worst. The only good thing about it was the absolute lack of period. I haven't had one for over a year. But the acne...god the acne...and then there's weight gain, that you can't get rid of, no matter what. I worked out 3x a day, example? I ran 4.5 miles, then worked for a few hours, lifted weights (heavy, good burn kind) for 1.5 hours, worked a few more hours, ended the night with a 60 lap swim....no use. I didn't eat anything significant for 2 days, lost 1 pound of water weight, 1 pound! I'm telling you, read the side effects and think twice. Soooo many women have experienced such awful acne and other side effects I didn't have. TOTAL loss of sex drive ( I didn't suffer from that) but between the acne and the weight gain I couldn't lose it really started taking a toll on my self esteem. I finally stopped when I looked in the mirror one day after work and cried at my reflection. Sure, you may be thinking you broke out like you were 17, but I've broken out my entire life, and I am 32 as well, and these were like nothing I've EVER experienced! They were big and cystic. You HAD to pop them. They'd have 2 white heads each. They would ONLY be as big as the top of a pencil eraser pretty much. I started breaking out on my jawline, wierd places like further down my jaw getting closer to my throat, my back, my ears! It was a nightmare! Mirena works for a lot of women, but I felt bloated on it often. And I was fatter too. More of an appetite. Look for something different or take your chances. I had mine put in Oct2007, got it removed Jan2009, my face has so much scarring it's disgusting and I'm on something else now to clear it up and I'm still getting residual breakouts and it's been a month. I also have not started my period yet....and it's almost April....not that I mind that part but I'm just saying. It tricks your body into thinking it's pregnant, may be the reason for the weight gain, definitely why you stop having a period, and jawline breakouts, on your chin area too, are generally from hormonal changes I read, not to say that your forehead wasn't either, just that my normal breakouts can be anywhere on my face, these were all my chin/jawline area. Just an fyi. Maybe try it and hope it does well for you.
