I just started taking the same medicine yesterday. I was a bit tired and lightheaded which I thought was normal being that I was switched from Inderal to this...but all of a sudden my heart is racing. I was just relaxing, watching tv and now I feel like my heart is about to beat out of my chest. Anyone else experience this right off?
I don't know how in the world you were able to stay on this drug for such a long time! I'm going crazy trying to wait for this medication to leave my body. I have coughed until my insides just ache and I have low back pain so bad it's hard for me to walk across the floor. Not to mention I have practically overdosed on an inhaler because I can't breath. I was taking Avapro prior to this drug but I thought if getting a generic it would save me some money. I feel like it has almost cost me my life! It has been 3 days since I have taken the drug and I don't know how much longer I can deal with these side effects. It's been horrible! I called my doctor and asked him to call the pharmacy and change my prescription back to the Avapro. Do you believe he had the nerve to call in another new drug!!!! He's got to be kidding if he thinks I'm going to try any new meds after this experience! Lisinopril should be banned!!!
How long were you on the med? I am on day 4 besides being a little out of it, I am doing okay....except for the panic attacks which I am taking a little dose of ativan for every now and again
I have to tell you guys...last night was the first night in years that I've stayed in bed asleep all night!!!! I had some heart palpitations at first but no problems after that! I've only been off the drug for 2 DAYS!!!! I feel so much better. I'd rather exercise more and eat better than die a long, slow death due to this drug! I'm starting to feel like 'me' again!!!!
So I have been on the med for 6 days now!! I haven't had too many issues with it so far. EXCEPT for the my heart racing most of the time. I sleep fine, some weird dreams but not problems staying asleep....and my BP is finally good. I was switched to this b/c my other med wasn't working anymore and when I went to the Dr. on Tuesday my BP was 150/100....so she decided to try something different....lisinopril it was. I just want to keep an eye out for bad effects so that when I go back to the dr. next week , I make sure that everything is normal. Thanks, and so glad for you that you are feeling better!! :-)
I have experienced the same heart pounding from Entocort EC. I had taken 2 pills per day (3 mg each) for about 4 months. It raised my blood pressure & pulse. I felt like my body had a racing motor in it. I dropped down to 1 a day & then down to 1 every other day which has not been enough to help the Crohn's. I am still having the heart pound & I had to have medication to even get any sleep. Now I have to see a heart dr. I weaned myself off the Entocort but I know I will not be able to stay off medication. I go back to the doctor next week & he will probably want me to start back on Entocort. It's like Entocort has effected the electrical rythem of my heart. I loved it at first, to get such relief. I do not want any medication that causes hair loss.
