45 year old female - 10mg per day taken at night for kidney prote...

I couldn't stand the coughing anymore!!!! I was literally strangling and gagging off sinus drainage!! I have been warning everyone I know about this drug! I had to go to the ER Saturday night to get a breathing treatment and percocet just so that I could get some sleep. I have been off this drug since last Monday and still choking at work!! People think I have something contagious I cough so bad.....Alert everyone you know about this crap!!! I will not be a test rat again!!!

I can't believe I am reading this today! I have been up all night coughing. I do take Lisinopril with HCT and I really do like the way it controls my pressure, but the tickling and coughing is driving me nuts. It doesn't usually bother me during the day, but at night, the VERY SECOND my body relaxes to sleep, the tickling hits! I have tried water, lozenges and hard candy (sleeping with them in my mouth!) honey, sleeping sitting up, Benadryl, Claritin...nothing helps. And the cough is so violent that I feel like I am going to throw up. This is BS. Is there some other kind of blood pressure medication that won't do this to me????I really do need to sleep!
