Call your doctor and insist on changing pills. You have the right to make that decision. Keep changing until you find one that's suitable for you. Good luck
I am in the same boat you are! I have been taking yasmin for about 3 years and everything was great until this last couple weeks....first I started breaking out (and I've rarely had any pimples since I was 15 and I'm 23 now!) then my period which is normally regulated down to the day and hour I get for the last 5 years started coming a day or two later.....then this past week I doubled up on the pill since I missed a day and within hours I was having severe chest pain, brain fog and full blown panic attack for no reason!!!! this has been truly the weirdest week of my life. I called my obgyn and she said it absolutely COULDN'T be the pill then i went to my family practitioner and he checked everything and gave me Lexapro and diagnosed me with anxiety, which is fine even though i dont think I do. I have been irritable, waking up with heart fluttering in the middle of the night, etc. etc. I am stopping the pill today even though I have 5 days left...has it worked for you? I can't live in this brain fog any longer!!
Blaise,
Hi, I'm Crystal and I know yo posted on here a while ago but I experienced pretty much exactly what you did. I'm 24, newly married and the anxiety that started in January after being on Yasmin for 2 months was unlike anything I have ever experienced. The hardest this for me were and still are at time the scary obsessive thinking! How are yo doing now? Are you fully recovered from the panic and anxiety? I find I feel great like, 90% of the time, but it's like my mind can't fully go back to my normal self after suffering that much anxiety. I'm scarred!! hahaha! I hate yasmin!
Well, I hope to be hearing from you!
Thanks!
Crystal
