I just got an injection yesterday in my shoulder. The injection had the following in it: 1ml of 40mg per milliliter of kenalog solution along with 1ml of 1% lidocaine solution without epinephrine and 1ml of .5% marcaine solution. Here is what happened after the injection... Within 30 minutes I was experiencing nausea and a headache on the left side of my head, behind my eye, and to the outer side of the eye. Within an hour I had pain radiating throughout my entire body! It has not been almost 24 hours and I am still in pain. My head is splitting, I'm still experiencing nausea, and the pain is all over in my bones and joints, and my hips hurt really bad. I'm also experiencing a terrible dizziness, and light headed feeling, and confussion. Here is the real kicker... I have severe drug and food allergies! There is virtually NOTHING I can take without having a reaction. I can only eat fish, fruits, and veggies, otherwise I get very sick, and have severe stomach cramps to a point I cannot even stand or walk! My doctor knows all of this, and he still told me this was perfectly safe, never been a reaction, and I would be okay. Only problem that may arise is infection, but that is extreamly rare! Does anyone here have any idea what is happening to my body, and how long it might last?
