Yes! There are Doctors who are just hellbound on insisting that there are no problems with Lipitor. I had two such Doctors and one Cardiologist now who also thinks it is unusual for me to have had side effects described to him as being tension down the back of my Neck, light headedness as if walking in a cloud at times, concentation issues, memory issues and tiredness. These all seemd to gradulay crepped on to me over some years, hence making it even more difficult to pin point it to anything as it all together was a package of just feeling unwell.
Eventually" I did have some suspicions and checked the Web. What a wonderful resource the Web was for this! I was astounded and relieved at the same timeand shocked at the so many similarities along with claims of dementia and short term memory loss!!
Because of my high cholesterol and just having had a recent triple bypass i there for must keep this to an acceptable level. My cholesterol problem is heretitary. I am now on a combination Medication one is Crestor 10mg(Rosuvastatin) and the other Lipidil 145 mg. NOT LIPITOR) I am yet to see tomorrow how the results are in having used these for six weeks.
My Friend was on Lipitor. He was experiencing problems too. I mentioned the troubles i was having. he heeded my complaint and found that Lipitor was the course of his problems too. He was lucky to have had a Friend to tell himn of this to may be have him realise that Lipitor was also coursing his drama's. What puzzles me is; Eeven after this Product Lipitor being on the Current Affair here in Australia some time back re: it's problems. It's still being sold here!!!!! How's that for the Government Health Authorities taking care of it's Citizents!??
I am currently researching the adverse effects of Lipitor as I am experiencing nagging pain and tiredness in my legs and back. I took myself off Lipitor and am noticing some improvement. I am also on Lipidil. I am skeptical about medications prescribed by doctors as they are in a sense tools of the pharmaceutical companies. I am learning more doing my own research than my doctor is able to provide explanations.
