Can anyone else tell me if Deplin makes them sleep -- All I want ...

I just started Deplin and have the SAME PROBLEM!! I am sleeping a LOT. And I keep telling myself it can't be the Deplin - because it's "just" folate!! I feel so much better knowing I'm not the only one with this side effect! My therapist said I am the first person she's prescribed this to. So I realized I needed to do a search online to find out if anyone else has weird symptoms/changes since taking Deplin. I eat pretty healthy but I think I will try changing the time of day I take it. I usually take it between 7-8am along with my Cymbalta. Maybe noon time would help. I wake up a few times during the nite but that started about a month before Deplin. I never have a problem falling back to sleep or sleeping for 10 hrs anyway, but since Deplin I feel like I need even more sleep more often. WEIRD! Thanks for your post,

I have the same problem, I wasn't sure if it's only me. Do you continue to take this medication. Do you stil have the same simptoms?

I have the same problem. I'm taking this medication for 2 months and the first month wasn't so bad but now I can not keep my eyes open. Do you still take this medication.

I have been taking this medication for 5 weeks and it has turned me into a zombie. I too cannot keep my eyes open. Its causing me to sleep 14 - 16 hours a day. Thanks for the posts, glad to see that I am not the only one with this problem. I wil be discontinuing this stuff immediately!

I did just go ahead and stop taking this stuff. My doc didn't understand it -- but once I stopped, I stopped sleeping all darn day long, so it was NOT a fluke for sure ;) If I need folic acid, I will take the oTC stuff and NOT have to put up with these side effects.

I think the drug companies are just throwing new crap out there to make us need MORE drugs to counteract the effects of the other....I will NOT be a guinea pig any more -- I REFUSE any/all new meds now. I have had enough!!

Good luck to all of you suffering the same side effects. Hope you can get it resolved. Of course, one should never stop taking a medication without the help of your doctors!!
