: Hey, I'm 32, got mirena 1 1/2 months ago. Have had palpitation during this time. I just had it removed yesterday. I would rather have bad periods. No previous heart problems, I'm sure its the hormones, Doctor would not confirm this. I've done some research on the net, and this is happening to women with mirena.

When i had the mirena in i had bad heart palpitations when i got it taken out the day after they were gone i still get them slightly just before my period

I had the same thing, and only have them right before my period too, they were gone once mirena was out
